08-25-13 Pelican Point
CCSP Pelican Point is situated next just south of the Balboa Harbor where boats are heading in and out. Sunday night is usually the time the boats coming back in. There was no high cloud, only a slight low cloud. The low cloud had a brief moment of golden color as the sun was setting, and quickly turned to dark cloud. As we walked towards the northern end towards the cliff, I noticed the mist along the beach, which blocked the sun and make it an orange ball when it dipped lower. As the sun set, boats started heading back to the harbor, one of the fishing boat crossed the sun, not a bad shot. Anyway, we will be back here 3 months later, may be better luck next time. Seeing Michael's plant, bird and rock, and Neil's seashell, reflection, we should try some of those too next time.
